MP Pathak Releases 6-Month Progress ‘Report Card’: Direct Public Outreach, Repatriation Support, and Full Financial Disclosure

​KATHMANDU । Lawmaker Pathak from Jhapa has made public his 6-month progress report card, detailing key legislative, developmental, and humanitarian achievements, along with a full disclosure of his salary and allowances.

​Public Engagement and Facilitation

According to the report card, MP Pathak visited his constituency ४ times over the past ६ months to directly engage with local voters and address their grievances.

​On the humanitarian front, he facilitated the repatriation of the mortal remains of ९ Nepali migrant workers who passed away abroad, while successfully coordinating the rescue and return of ३ stranded individuals.

​In terms of local infrastructure and public health, a technical team inspected and prepared a feasibility report for the construction of a suspension bridge in Kachankawal-१, Pindalbari. Furthermore, he took special initiatives to prioritize Jhapa for the first phase of the Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccination drive.

​Transparency and Allowance Breakdown

Upholding transparency, MP Pathak publicly disclosed his total official pay and deduction details.

​His monthly breakdown—including base salary, house rent, communication, utilities, and special allowances—totals Rs. ६६,०७०. After a party levy deduction of Rs. १५,००० and a tax/social security deduction of Rs. १,५०७, his net income (inclusive of parliamentary and committee meeting allowances) stood at Rs. ७३,५६३. Additionally, on active meeting days, an extra Rs. १,००० as meeting allowance and Rs. १,००० as transportation allowance are provided.

​Reiterating his commitment, MP Pathak stated that serving the citizens remains his topmost priority.
